Rick and Janet Nicholson
Passion, dedication and innovation characterize Rick and Janet Nicholson's glass blowing. Each piece is a free-hand expression of the excitement and risk taking found in an experimental studio. The study of metal and its use with glass has expanded their capabilities to glass and steel sculptures, sculptural lighting, and ceiling installations. A teaching assistant for Dale Chihuly at Pilchuck and a perennial student of masters Therman Statom, Richard Marquis and Dino Rosin. Rick's works involve figurative sculpture, multiple piece wall installations. Recent projects for the Ritz Carlton, Kaiser Hospital and M Resort have led to national recognition of their collaborative work.
