Thomas Kelly
This highly versatile glass designer creates pieces that
range from simple statements in form and color to pieces with
elaborate surface decoration. Each one of a kind piece is free
blown, without the use of molds. Drawing on classical influences,
Kelly explores the optical properties of glass and conveys a sense
of the fluidity of the medium. His work has been featured in several
of the Corning Glass Museum’s publications. In his own words, “Glass
always challenges you. I'm obsessive about bringing craft and design
together to give each piece its own character." |
