Joel Hunnicutt
A master of the technique he invented called "segmented turning", Joel Hunnicutt has achieved a national reputation for innovation and craftsmanship. He is frequently a keynote demonstrator for Woodturning Symposiums and generously shares his turning and coloring techniques with other artists. In his own words, "my goal is to generate the flowing feeling of glass in the organic medium of wood. I finish the pieces with dyes that create rainbows of color, an effect not generally associated with wood. Thus, a glasslike appearance."
