Dan and Nisha Ferguson
The art of design, the emotion of sculpture, the power of color. Herein lies the true collaboration of "DaNisha". Working in ceramic and bronze, International Canadian artists Nisha and Dan Ferguson create sculpture that solicits comments of optimism, excitement, innocence, wonder and awe. A background as an acrobat, aerialist and choreographer influenced Nisha's academic pursuit of painting and drawing. With as much precision and as sure of one another as two trapeze artists meeting in mid air, Nisha and Dan married and began to collaborate artistically and they have never looked back. In sculptor Dan's own words, "working with my life partner and compromising my ideas in order to find something new is a metaphor for our life together. However, compromise is an illusion. What it really does is allow for possibilities neither of us may have embraced alone."
