Dots and Spots - They are a playful exercise on life from the very
large (celestial bodies) to the minute (atoms and molecules) and
suggest both order and chaos. Element Panels is a series of ceramic
paintings that explore urban structure and planning. These studies
of space and texture maintain a rigid and formal composition while
the clay doubles as a fittingly fragile symbol of the precarious
nature of our habitats. Ceramic Drawings is a series of
one-of-a-kind compositions on clay surfaces using underglaze, glaze
and glaze pencil. Simple, side by side shapes and pared down forms
appear to vibrate. These drawings are meditative, abstract
landscapes and studies of light. |
