What’s New Andrew Madvin We have chosen Andrew Madvin as our best new artist of the year. We are surprised by his work and amazed at the impact it has had in our gallery. Andrew works in glass and metal and combines the two mediums to create stunning gardens for the wall. His goal is to “explore the relationships between man and object and life’s energy and light thru form, texture, color and space. By combining the materials glass, metal, stone and wood, I offer several unique identities, insights, and a deep vocabulary with which to speak. The objects I seek to create express a balance and a contrast between the natural world and a conscious order of mans’ objective mind. My personal aim is to merge my sensitivity and creativity in the fine arts with the hand skill and training of a master craftsman.” With a BFA in glass sculpture and training at the California College of Art and Craft and Pilchuck Glass School, Andrew has a firm foundation in the principles and techniques of glass blowing. He has been juried into art shows across the country and has had numerous gallery exhibitions. We welcome Andrew to our collection and to our gallery.
